I'm going to put together an MCA Firelands trash run tonight.

I'm thinking of starting about 7PM server and ending around 10PM. Stay the whole time and get more rep and chances at drops or we can swap people around as they feel the need to drop out.

Bind on Equip items will follow the MCA standard rule, equip on the spot or it goes to the bank. In this case any undistributed items or patterns will go into my raid bank.

So I need some volunteers. Ideally a balanced raid (2 tanks, 3 healers, 3 ranged, 2 melee) with decent CC coverage for humanoid and elemental types.

Here's a list of trash drops that may help entice you...

And if the trash isn't interesting, perhaps the reputations rewards are for what you could get in a single night.

I'm not sure if this dissuades you, but they hotfixed the BoE trash dropping late last night to vastly decrease the drop rate.

I think I also read something about trash not granting rep either, only boss kills. But that was back on the PTR; maybe they changed it. Edit: they did, you can get rep from trash up to honoured now.

I still need to finish my heroics for the week, but I might be interested, depending on the timing and if there is a rogue spot. I'm not much for trash farming runs normally but I wouldn't mind seeing the place and having a chance at the leatherworking patterns.

Well in 9 man we got 2 trinkets, 1 pattern, and 1 crossbow. Additionally we got about halfway to Friendly in reputation which isn't that bad for just starting to learn the trash. Even if the drop rates have been decreased, they still drop.

Yeah they did it late last night/early this morning, the drop rate nerf would have been after Nine Man ran. Still, sometimes you get luck with the RNG.

Good to hear that you can get rep from trash now (now that I am looking, it looks like they added rep back to trash, but now it caps at honoured, so after that you need boss kills).

Let me put it this way...

I intend on farming trash tonight. Period. There are 4 potential upgrades for me from drops and the first tier of reputation. Regardless of what anyone else wants, I'm going. Even if I have to end up pugging it I'd still go.

For those of you that want to come with me, I am volunteering my services to lead a group.

I wasn't trying to convince you not to. Like I said, I am interested myself if the timing works out. Was mostly just providing additional information if that mattered to you at all.

Well 9 people got their 378 cloaks last night. Only one pattern drop, a mail letherworking pattern went to Cerulon, only Leatherworker at the time. And got a few more people exposure to some of the trash mechanics. I may try for something again this evening as well though tonight we actually have a regular raid scheduled.

Crows isn't expecting to need any subs tonight so I don't think you'll mess us up or anything if you want to do this again. You can supposedly get all the way through honoured (one point from revered) on trash, although I guess at some point the little stuff stops counting.
