OKAY.

I put up a calendar entry for June 5th, 4.30-7.30 PST. I think I got everyone who said they were interested and could likely make that time (except our potential rogue, who is on another server right now).

I know some of you are still leveling and/or gearing up, so just hit tentative for now if you're not sure if you'll make it. Same goes to people who aren't sure if they can make that particular week. When you know, flip yourself to accepted or declined.

I don't think it will be an issue now, but eventually if we have more people on the calendar, I will 'accept' and 'standby' folks in the order they accepted (albeit with class balance in mind) so you'll want to change your tentative as early as possible to be sure of a spot.

There is still plenty of space on the calendar for any interested parties. About half the people on the calendar are people who can't commit, so there is very good odds we will have space for you.

Finally, the question: where are we going?

Well, we'll be starting in BWD.

The goal is to be able to knock off [at least the easy stuff in] BWD and BoT, and eventually I'd like to do both in one night.

However, I think our time is better spent early on getting good and fast in one raid rather than trying to split our time between both and adding in travel time even if it means giving up a couple "free" easy kills in the other instance. So what I expect to do is start in one raid, and once we're quickly and painlessly killing "the easy" bosses there, we'll head to the other raid and start working on those exclusively. Once we've achieved the same there, we will work on combining both raids into a single night. After that, if we think we're ready, we can start talking about the raid-end bosses depending on how we're doing and people's interest.

The other advantage of this system is it allows people to PuG the raid we're not visiting on a given week if they are inclined, and/or allow us subs or the ability to sub into raids who might not have done the instance we did... at least until we're comfortably doing both.

I'm not sure where Throne fits into this plan, if it even does, so we'll play it by ear. We may end up going there, but it will depend on our pace and also the desires of the raid.

I will always make sure people know in advance where ever we might go.

I can usually make it on sundays if you still have dps space, either regular or sub. Unfortunately Jaya is still my only 85.

Let's go with the mage (Brendark). The shaman occasionally subs for his guild and could be saved. I can swap depending to the Hunter (Nimitz) if needed.

I'll add Brendark for now but fair warning: We do have three mages on the calendar right now. I think Vain will be switching to his hunter once 4.2 is released and there are no conflicts with NoName, though, so this may not be long term. Mages are awesome so it's not much of an issue, aside from loot competition for you guys.

Not like you can't switch if you're coming a particular week and want to bring another.

BTW, because some of our tanks and healers are tentative and we had more DPS accept than we have room for, I put most of the tentatives and newer signups on standby to make sure we have enough room to have sufficient tanks/heals.

So I spent the whole weekend without internet, it only came back on in the last few hours. My computer appears to not want me raiding lately.

Bendric suggested I name this raid MCA Machete. I very much like that name but figure everyone else will want to give input on the matter.

In the meantime, I made a Danny Trejo icon which seemed appropriate. Even if you guys boycott the name, the icon stays.
