Feel free to make a post introducing yourself to the alliance, if you're looking for a raid, some good things to include in your post might be :
1. Class/Spec/Relevant gear details for your class.
This stuff will have the most effect on your application to raids, it's just good for us to know ahead of time what we're dealing with. Don't be scared if you're undergeared, we'd rather take someone undergeared and honest, than an undergeared liar
2. Your available times.
This will also have a big effect on which raids you attend. The main 25 man raids run on Friday between 7 and 11 pm, saturday, between 5 and 9pm, and Monday between 8 and 11pm. Hanstall also runs UrgleMurgle on wednesdays at 8pm running until Gruul and Magtheridon give up something useful
10 mans run at various times during the week, posting your available times makes it more likely that the relevant raid leader can get in touch with you.
3. What you're after.
If you're looking for 10 man, or 25 man raiding, if you're looking to sub, or run full time. Post which types of raids you're looking for so we can see what we can do to accomodate you.
4. Anything else relevant you think we might need to know.
